Barrie & I are your LOCAL Owner/Operators & we offer a Ceramic FLOOR Tiles Service. Turbo Cleaning WILL remove excess build up of dirt & chemical residue (built up from dirt & grime & food spills etc + previous cleaning solution residue). DARKER than original colour grout means soiled/stained/DIRTY grout. For heavily soiled grout we will apply cleaning solution & HAND scrub Grout with a grout brush (several times). It really depends on YOUR 'Degree of Tolerance' as to how far we go.
Ceramic tiles are made from natural red or brown clay, water & sand. These materials are moulded to form tiles then baked in a kiln to remove moisture, then a glaze (liquified glass) is usually applied. Whereas Porcelain tiles are made from DENSER White clay, then baked at VERY high temperatures for longer to remove MOST of the water. The longer drying time makes porcelain tile much denser & harder than ceramic. Porcelain tiles can be patterned eg Morrocan tiles.
Ceramic & porcelain tiles are generally glazed or unglazed. Glazed tiles have colour added to the tile surface AFTER firing, then refired to bond the glaze to clay body. Glazed range from dull Matte to High gloss finish. Whereas unglazed tile colour can be the natural earth tone of the clay or the colour of a pigment added BEFORE firing.

The SECRET to great looking tiles is fantastic looking GROUT! Floor Grout is usually made from cement & sand so is very porous. It Will absorb grease, dirt & spillages causing patches in the grout.
We perform SX 12 Turbo Cleaning System 'High Pressure', Rotary Action & Extraction & grout cleaning brushes.
8 Step Ceramic & Porcelain FLOOR Tile Cleaning Service where together Barrie & I will:
1. Pre inspect your Floor Tiles for stains, damaged Tiles/Grout.
2. Prepare area by gently moving around MOVEABLE furniture (if needed)
3. Remove loose soil by broom or vacuum
4. Pretreat area by applying a cleaning solution by mop & let dwell for 10 minutes to loosen accumulated soil
5. Agitate any stubborn tile stains & GROUT with grout brush
6. Use SX-12 TURBO high pressure cleaning system (see SX-12 YouTube video below) by extracting soil & residue using a low ph cleaning solution to neutralise area.
7. We will REPEAT steps 4, 5 & 6 for heavily soiled Grout, several times
8. Wipe around edges & dry off any excess moisture (upon completion).
When needed we can replace moveable furniture.
The COST for Ceramic or Porcelain Floor Tile Cleaning will vary due to:
1. the severity of Tile & Grout soiling, (which increases our TIME cleaning);
2. whether the property is furnished or clear of furniture (easier as the amount of MOVEABLE furniture etc that needs to be moved around increases our time spent on site.
3. the area being cleaned. Kitchen & dining areas obviously have heavier soiling than a bathroom. However, a bathroom is more fiddly due to smaller confined areas & toilet etc. Therefore manual equipment also needs to be used more.
MINIMUM charge is $220 (up to 15sm) then $7.70-$9.90 per sm
TOTALLY Optional - AFTER we have thoroughly cleaned your tiles & GROUT, we can return a couple of days later (when the grout has thoroughly dried out) & apply grout sealer. Call Barrie on 0418 245135 for more information.
Tile & GROUT Cleaning will NOT repair your old/worn/chipped or mouldy tiles. Over time GROUT can also wear away & lose some of its sealant & grout.

7. Deodorise.

We can offer a BUDGET service (pre vacuumed) without cutting corners, as EMPTY premises or cleaning AROUND ALL furniture means we spend LESS time on site as we do NOT have to vacuum or move any moveable furniture back & forth, as we clean. Please pick up all bins, boxes, papers, pens etc off carpet & put chairs on tables. We use our Industrial strength vacuum to remove these, then we steam clean away residues.
