Barrie & I are BOTH trained in Upholstery (& Carpet) Cleaning with IICRC  - (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification). 

  • We have attended courses, sat for & passed exams. We continue to follow IICRC guidelines & we seek professional advice when needed.
  • We AIM to RESTORE your furnishings to the BEST result possible, BUT there are MANY variables.


Our process to clean your upholstery is to:


1. Pre inspect your upholstery for spots, spills, stains & any damaged areas

2. Unload from our van all the equipment we need for your UNIQUE clean:

3. Carry into your property all equipment:

  • A. Vacuum cleaner, soft brushes plus Upholstery cleaning tool
  • B. 50 kg steam cleaning machine plus High pressure water & extraction hoses 
  • C. Buckets plus cleaning products/chemicals, cloths, sheets to: 1. lay on the floor to catch overspray & 2. to set loose cushions up on to assist drying 
  • D. Immersion heater
  • E. Presprayer with specialty upholstery cleaning shampoo
  • F. Industrial dryer. 

4. Set up all of our equipment.

5. Place sliders under the legs so we can move them around

6. Separate seating

7. If there are loose cushions we set up our upholstery cleaning table

8. Hand brush then thoroughly vacuum to remove DRY soil, any animal fur etc

9. Apply spot/stain treatment to all spots & spills as we clean

10. Prespray upholstery with fabric specific specialty cleaning shampoo

11. Steam clean with attention to spots & spills whilst softening fibres, using our HIGH quality professional steam cleaning equipment. 

12. Deodorise

13. We then Pack all equipment back into our van

PER  seating position (all quotes include GST):

MINIMUM charge FROM $242

Mid-Dark colours FROM $121 per seating position

Pale fabric FROM $154 per seating position


NB: SPECIALTY fabrics:  Cotton, Linen & Viscose, Velvet Fabric can be extremely hard to clean/RESTORE!

Cost is: FROM $198 per seating position

The above fabrics are highly susceptible to browning & water stains so they are time consuming. We would need to use a combination of cleaning methods (Encapsulation + steam cleaning) to ATTEMPT to get the BEST result possible. These fabrics require additional cleaning time

Barrie & I guarantee to TRY our best to remove stains, but cannot guarantee FULL removal.


Imagine how much build up of body oils, dead skin cells, food particles, spills etc that HAVE ingrained into your upholstery after 12 months of NOT washing them.😣 


  • CROWN will clean your valuable furnishings to the best of our knowledge & ability & we will ATTEMPT to remove all spots/spills in an effort to restore your lounge suite to the best we can. 


  • SOME PALE lounge suites MAY have PERMANENT damage due to: Composition of or fabric type (especially linen & cotton), water stains, sun fading, spills, age of suite, mould OR body oils stains.


  • We are highly trained IICRC trained Upholstery cleaners & we want a great result every time, BUT realistically sometimes this MAY NOT happen!
